I actually got this to use at my desk so that when I use the Sidecar function to make my iPad a second screen it would be the same height as my monitor. It works like an absolute dream!! The charging is just a bonus for me since my iPad battery lasts much longer than the average period of time I'm using it, but it definitely works and I appreciate the function. You could also use this just to make your iPad a monitor and pair it with a keyboard. I honestly didn't even know to look for something like this and it never occurred to me, so I just had an upright case for my iPad and ignored the height difference, but this is a fantastic set-up for me and it feels so efficient. Love it!!
