I use the cable for charging.Sometimes you have to use your phone while the charging cable is attached. The cable attaches to the bottom of the phone, so if you tend to rest the phone on your tummy while using it, the cable can be bent and strained at the connector when it pushes into your navel.This cable seems to have good strain relief at the connectors. But it would still be good practice to always be aware of how hard you're bending your cable, especially at the ends with the connectors where the cable is most delicate.Update 1 1/2 years later: The first cable failed at the end that goes into the bottom of the phone. Next effort will be a cable with a right-angle connector on the phone-end, although those reviewers are saying that even with the right-angle, and even though that cable is braided too, the right-angle connector that goes into the phone is also failing for some people. But I'll try that next, anyway.Too many people accepting that cables will fail too frequently.
