All right, a little background. My wife and I travel a lot for business. I have a multiport USB A charger that plugs into the wall. The issue is that most things come with a USB C port. Making the change to those kind of cables led me to 'discover' GaN charge blocks. The charging time with these kinds are very much reduced, which is something I really like. My wife could care less as long as her device gets charged. Until she needs it charged quickly, lol. Anyway, the problem with the GaN charge blocks is that they tend to be large. This last trip we took I had to move furniture around to get the charge block enough room to fit into the outlet. Long story short is that it was a hassle. So I looked for an alternative and stumbled on this. This plugs into an outlet like a lot of things do and so doesn't need a large 'footprint' to do so. Then it has 3 C ports along with one A. I plugged into the wall outlet and plugged my phone in. My phone indicated it was in super fast charging mode, which I don't really remember having seen before, but then I was curious to see how long it said it would take to charge and so was really watching the screen. It gave me 15 minutes to be fully charged. Now to be fair, charging is a combination of things and how they all factor together. Like what kind of cable you have, what kind of device, and in the case of multi-ports, how they divide the current to each item plugged in. For this quick test my phone was the only thing connected to it, but where it said 15 minutes on my phone, it was 10 by the time it showed 100%. Impressive. The cable I used indicated it was a 60W cable too. I am just really impressed with this and love the size and the fact that I should be able to plug it in SO much easier than my current GaN blocks. One thing to note. I almost never take the plastic protective wrap off of things if I think I can get away with it. This time I did and it looks sleek as all get out. But, a warning. Don't remove the bottom one if you feel there is a chance you'll be moving it around to different locations. The bottom protective film covers a 'sticky' bottom that helps secure this to a surface in a semi-permanent manner. I knew there was a reason I don't take those off! I just quick put it back on when I figured this out. Plus there is a blue light on the bottom that helps show it has power while keeping the overall light down in case this is in a bedroom or somewhere where you'll want darker conditions at times. This is very well made and I look forward to using this for more than just our travels. In fact, I may get another one!
