I own a Dell XPS 9710 17" laptop. And I wanted a backup for its 130W power supply.The replacement AC Adapter/Charger I received. Is the same size as the OEM Dell. Though thankfully, the AC power cord is 10" longer. And the DC cord is 2" longer. Making it a full 12" longer thank the original. Which I see as an upgrade.Product Dimensions;The Charger/AC Adapter itself is 5-5/8 L X 2-5/8 W X 7/8" Tall.The power cord from the outlet to the Charger is 46".The cord from the Charger to the plastic end of the DC Connector is 68".Giving it a total length of roughly 120".Externally;If not for the marking differences and the shape and lengths of the AC cords. Externally they appear identical in every way.The DC cord is lit near the connector. So you know when it is receiving power. Just like the OEM, and I like that. It feels every bit as robust and quality as he OEM.This replacement AC Adapter/Charger is made in China. Just like the OEM.Setting for this review:Screen Brightness 80%Performance setting at 100%Battery at 50%Dell estimate time to fully Charge at 1 hour 06 Minutes.The replacement took 2 hours and 00 minutes to reach a Full Charge.The charger did charge pretty quickly up to the 95% point. At which point the charging progress slowed quite a bit. When I went over my pictures. I found that it took 34 minutes to charge from 94% to a 100%.I was curious to see how the OEM Dell would compare. So I ran a short test.Settings with the OEM AC/ Charging Adapter.Screen Brightness 80%Performance setting at 100%Battery at 10%The onboard software did not produce an estimated time to Full Charge.The OEM Charger took 54 minutes to go from a 90% Charge to 100% Full Charge.Which is a very long time to charge from 90% to 100%.I feel that I should add. That this is an older laptop. With its original battery. And it does take longer to reach a full charge. As batteries get older. So I'm not going to fault either charger. I don't think there is another charger out there. That would have charged the battery any faster. When the charging was complete. I checked the Replacement charger by touch. And it was a little warm. Just like the OEM was when I unplugged it.P.S. I have used this power adapter on my Dell XPS 9710 today. And it has continued to perform in every way like the OEM product. There has been no interference with the wireless connection. I have not used it long enough to say if it will last as long as the original. But I'm glad to have it as a backup. And I will definitely switch out the AC Power cords in favor of the one sent with the replacement.In closing, I would definitely recommend this Replacement Charger. For anyone needing a new or backup power supply. For their compatible Dell laptop.
